There are many organizations, foundations, wildlife sanctuaries, and individuals around the world that aid primates. We've selected some of the more prominent groups that engage in on-the-ground conservation of primates to highlight below. Please use this list as a starting point for finding other regional and international institutions that protect primates and their habitat.

BOS is a US based non-profit organization that is run entirely by volunteers and is focused on orangutan conservation. Their activities include supporting education, research, habitat protection, and rehabilitation of orangutans in Indonesia and Malaysia.

This is a German based organization dedicated to the conservation of gorillas. Their activities include supporting national parks in Central Africa.

This organization is involved in the conservation of bonobos in the Congo. They are active in community based education projects and in the support of a bonobo sanctuary. They are also working to develop partnerships with other organizations working in this field to strength the existing bonobo network.

The Bushmeat Crisis Task Force, or BCTF, is a consortium of scientists and conservation organizations with the common goal to conserve endangered animals threatened by hunting. BCTF provides meetings, a database, and publications to promote information sharing. They are also actively involved in facilitating African partners to address the bushmeat issue.

Conservation International, or CI, is an organization dedicated to the conservation of our living natural heritage and biodiversity. WWF is one of the largest privately supported conservation organizations. They are involved is several primate conservation efforts that include species such as the chimpanzee, the golden lion tamarin, and the mountain gorilla.
