Join Lani Asato and Jennifer Carr as they trek across the Okavango Delta. Daily dispatches were posted from June 23rd -26th, 2003. Be sure to read all the Dispatches.

Day 1Lani and Jen embark on a two-day journey to Gudigwa Camp. You'll meet camp employees, learn how the culture of Gudigwa promotes conservation and get to know the challenges of ecotourism.
Day 2From the first light of dawn today, it was busy at Gudigwa Camp. Read today's dispatch to learn how Gudigwa Camp came about and who supported its creation. Also, we'll take you along on a guided bushwalk at dawn and show you how nearly everything in the bush is uniquely useful.
Day 3Next stop: elephant research camp. Lani and Jen visit Mike Chase to understand how his reasearch with elephants will help to create a Transfrontier Conservation Area (TFCA) and why this is important to communities and tourism in Botswana.
Day 4On the last leg of their trip, Lani and Jen visit Tico McNutt at the Botswana Predator Conservation Program camp to get up close and personal with Africa's endangered wild dogs.
